About K2KConnection

K2K Connection President Pamela Kurn Smith

We do a lot to improve life for people in Kenya.

Beginning with my first short term mission trip to Southwestern Kenya in 2010, I was touched by the wonderful people of this very rural, very impoverished part of Migori County.  People here live on less than $400 a year, on family land, long ago depleted of its nutrients by tobacco farming.

Women and orphans surviving the death of the family bread winner struggle to eek out a living in this semi-arid hill country near Tanzania and Lake Victoria.  These women have never been to school, speaking only the tribal language of the Luo people.  They are not able to sell their goods in the city due to this, as they are unable to speak Swahili, the international and business language of East Africa.  K2K Connection is bringing them education, healthcare and hope for a better future.
